Implant Dentistry

At Simone Dental, we offer several implant-related treatments to replace one or more missing teeth. We specialize in implant treatment because we believe dental implants are the ideal solution for tooth loss.

A dental implant is a titanium screw that we surgically embed deep into the jawbone. Once the implant is in place, it will slowly fuse to your jaw through osseointegration. After a brief healing period, the implant screw will be able to support a restoration against the strongest forces of your bite. Dental implants can support a single crown, a partial bridge, and a full-arch restoration.

Benefits of Dental Implants

Dental implants are the next best thing to your natural teeth. This makes implants a more convenient, durable, secure, and aesthetically pleasing option over traditional restorations. The numerous benefits of dental implants have made them the industry standard for tooth replacement!

Single Dental Implants

If you are missing a single tooth, an implant-supported crown may be the best solution. An implant-supported crown usually consists of three components: the implant post, the abutment (support structure), and the restoration. We may recommend an implant-supported crown in place of more traditional options, such as a conventional bridge or partial denture.

Full Arch Implants

There are several terms that describe replacing all your teeth using implants - full arch implants, AOX, fixed hybrids, implant supported dentures - they all refer to being able to restore your complete dentition using just a few implants per arch. Patients with ill-fitting dentures or multiple lost or compromised teeth can benefit from this approach. What we love about this approach: we can restore all your function, esthetics, and confidence with only a few implants, and because the procedure can be completed in just one visit, you get to leave with a brand new smile and never have to go without teeth.

The Dental Implant Recovery Process

The healing period for dental implants is roughly three to six months. This is so osseointegration can occur. The implants are fabricated from biocompatible titanium or zirconia materials, so they work well in conjunction with the body.

During the healing period, patients can decide whether they are happy with the shape, fit, and color of their new teeth and bite. Our dentist can make all the necessary changes to ensure your permanent teeth look exactly how you want.

Sinus Lift

A sinus lift is a surgical procedure performed in implant dentistry to enable the placement of dental implants in the upper jaw. This graft promotes new bone growth, creating a stable foundation for the dental implant and ultimately restoring a patient's ability to replace missing teeth in the upper jaw.

Bone Grafting

Successful implant treatment requires enough bone in the jaw. Many patients need a bone graft, or ridge augmentation, before implantation is possible. We may recommend a bone graft if your bone is too thin or soft. A graft can give you a second chance at implant treatment!

Full Mouth Reconstruction

Some people have dental problems so severe and widespread that they need multiple surgeries. In this case, we may recommend a full mouth reconstruction. As the name suggests, a full mouth reconstruction refers to the rebuilding of all teeth in a patient’s mouth.
